Hi there!

We’re Ingrid and Øystein — partners in life for over 20 years. We share a love for travel, but above all, we’re deeply passionate about Tromsø. Nothing makes us happier than sharing the magic of our hometown, with people from around the world.



We live just outside the city with our two kids, Iben and Johannes. This is a true family effort — you’ll be in touch with us or one of our crew before and during your stay, and we’ll make sure everything feels easy, personal, and welcoming.

  • Where is the villa located?

    Villa

    The villa is located 50 minutes from Tromsø Langnes Airport and 60 minutes from downtown Tromsø.

  • Are the apartments centrally located?

    Apartments

    Yes, all our apartments are within walking distance of the city center. Parkgata is located in the heart of the city, while Karl Pettersens gate is in a quieter street but still uniquely close to the city. They are both an 8- to 10-minute taxi ride from the airport, or a longer but cheaper bus ride – it's up to you!

  • How do I check in?

    General

    All our apartments have a self-check-in system, and a couple of days before arrival, you will be sent a unique door code that starts working 10 minutes before check-in time. You will also receive other necessary information for your stay.

  • Can I have an early check-in or late check-out?

    General

    Absolutely! This depends on our cleaners' availability and whether we have other guests checking in on the same day. Please notify us in advance if you would like this option. Note that a service fee applies, depending on the day of the week and the number of extra hours requested.

  • Can I store my luggage somewhere before check-in or after check-out?

    General

    Unfortunately, this is not possible. However, you can store your luggage at Tromsø Harbour Terminal, where the airport express bus also stops. If you plan to go shopping, Jekta Shopping Mall also offers luggage storage before you head to the airport.

  • Are bed linen and towels included?

    General

    Yes, all our units come with both bed linen and towels.

  • Are basic amenities like soap provided?

    General

    We provide shower gel and shampoo from the brand Skandinavisk in the scent "Skog" (infused with birch syrup, as a tiny homage to our name Björk, which means birch).

  • What tours do you recommend?

    General

    When you book, we will send you a list of our most recommended tours and activities—some even include a discount code for you to use! What they all have in common is that we personally vouch for their high quality.

  • What restaurants do you recommend?

    General

    It depends on what you want to eat, but we have many local favorites for different palates and needs. Just let us know what you're looking for, and we'll provide recommendations.

  • Dining at the villa?

    Villa

    Our kitchen is fully equipped and perfect for making larger meals with friends or family. We recommend you shop at Eide Handel, or you could pre-book meals at Toves Tradisjonsmat, where you can enjoy authentic, traditional food as a group or have meals brought to the villa. Let us know, and we will help you facilitate!

  • Does the apartment come with parking?

    Apartments

    Yes, all our apartments have parking available, except for Studio Gran in Parkgata.

  • Do you have basic items like oil, salt, and pepper?

    General

    For hygiene reasons, we do not provide oils or liquids, but we do offer salt, pepper, and sugar.

  • Do you have a coffee maker?

    General

    Yes, we have a Nespresso machine. Upon arrival, you will find a few coffee pods so you can enjoy an evening coffee.
    The villa also has a Moccamaster filter coffee machine.
